The Democratic Forest
Regular price£220.00 Sale priceBy William Eggleston, 1989. Published by Doubleday.
The Democractic Forest is a modern epic, a monumental work consisting of many thousands of colour photographs made during the eighties by distinguished photographer William Eggleston. This particular volume contains one hundred and fifty of these works, with a nearly autobiographical sequence, beginning in Eggleston's private world of Tennessee and the Mississippi Delta, before radiating out to a common international landscape. His democracy refers not to politics, but to the camera's ability to represent everything equally.
