Mathieu Mategot Tray

A round and an octagonal tray designed by Mathieu Matégot, produced in France, c.1950s. Each made using the designer’s patented Rigitulle technique of folded and perforated sheet metal, with the original painted finish.

Matégot was a leading figure in post-war French design, known for his innovative use of metal and light industrial materials. His work exemplifies the modernist approach to everyday objects that defined the era.
